ATX Pathway Project aims at empowering Austin area teens through Self-Directed Education and Youth Rights
by providing resources, mentorship, and a supportive community to facilitate their transition into adulthood—whether through college, workforce, or adventure!
Homeschooling and Unschooling is a great way for young people to have a full childhood, to explore their interests and go on adventures. It allows families the flexibility to offer their young people time and space to grow without the confines of conventional schooling — what we notice is many of these young people head to high school as a last resort, due to a lack of options for teens who are in transition.
Our space will include:
- Co-Working & Community Space: A comfortable, safe, inclusive, and flexible space for teens to learn, create, and connect.
- Workshops & Skill-Building: Rotating offerings in Life Skills, Financial literacy, DIY projects and creative expression.
- Mentorship & Networking: Access to local professionals, business owners, and college students for guidance.
- Resources Library & Tools: Books, online courses, computers, and maker tools.
- Adventure & Workforce Support: Guidance for travel gap years, internships, travel, and alternative education pathways.
